The Rebecca West is an Acoustic/Americana family trio featuring Alex Dezen of Brooklyn indie-rock band The Damnwells, alongside his sister and longtime collaborator Cameron and brother in law-- producer/drummer/ songwriter Matt Hammon. Named for Matt's favorite author, The Rebecca West take listeners from the swampy footstomping "Next of Kin" to the strummy pop of "Lost and Found," then on to the haunting harmonies of "Enough" on the band's first release. The EP (iTunes "Lost and Found") is a stunning collection of deeply personal songs, dressed to the nines with dense familial harmonies, lilting strings and shimmering acoustic guitars. After a shockingly successful Kickstarter campaign for the EP, the band immediately began writing and recording for their first full length album, due out late 2013. They are thrilled to be playing their first hometown NYC show (Alex and Cameron grew up in NYC) on March 15 at the legendary Bowery Ballroom.
